I had no idea that either of my progeny had fashion sense. However, in preparation for our 5K run on Thanksgiving morning, we went last night to procure some dri weave long sleeve shirts and pants for running the race given the cold morning forecast. Both boys wanted shoes called “skate shoes” which are black suede with white laces, flat soles, and a hard interior that is made to protect the foot from scrapes and scuffs on concrete or ramps. And because they’ve been skateboarding and scootering wearing bike helmets, we got them serious skateboarder helmets. Safety first, right?
When we got home, they were mysterious and requested that I give them “privacy” bef0re I could see…..hmmmm.
Here’s the result of their conspiratorial behavior—donning a peculiar sartorial combination they called “real skater boy clothes.” With which they were thrilled. Apparently, my attempts to get them to wear items that match has utterly failed!
